Upper Kindergarten (UKG)

Introduction

At Beefort International School, we offer an Upper Kindergarten program for children aged 4 to 5 years. Our program is designed to prepare children for primary school by building on their existing skills and knowledge, and by introducing new concepts and challenges in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Curriculum

Our Lower Kindergarten curriculum is designed to provide a well-rounded education that meets the needs of young children. We focus on developing early literacy and numeracy skills, as well as social and emotional skills, through a variety of engaging activities and experiences. Some examples of our curriculum include:

Language and Literacy

We introduce children to basic phonics, sight words, and reading comprehension skills. We also encourage them to express themselves through creative writing and storytelling.

Mathematics

We help children develop early numeracy skills, such as counting, sorting, and patterning. We also introduce them to basic addition and subtraction concepts.

Science and Discovery

We encourage children to explore the world around them through hands-on activities that teach them about the natural world.

Social and Emotional Development

We provide opportunities for children to practice social skills, such as sharing, turn-taking, and cooperation. We also help them develop their emotional awareness and regulation through activities that encourage self-expression and empathy.
